Elderly Woman Attacked by a Pack of Angry Raccoons

Florida --- Yep! You heard right! Before I get to the story, I have to say that this is not funny, but for some sick reason, I still laughed! Some people need to learn to have a healthy respect for nature and wildlife. Raccoons may look cute and harmless, but they are still wild animals! And all wild animals are unpredictable!

74-year-old Gretchen Witted will think twice before she shoos away raccoons from her yard, again! Witted, who was probably bored out of mind, decided she needed to liven things up by disturbing a family of stripped tailed bandits who were passing through her yard. Instead, she found herself surrounded and was bitten from HEAD TO TOE!

The elderly woman was treated for serious bite wounds and had to endure the pain of rabies shots! Officials are now attempting to capture the rogue raccoons before anymore senior citizens are mauled.

They are nothing to play with.

I had a job that required we go camping with the children during the summer. This is when I learned that Raccoons are klanish. If you attack one-you had better kill it or be prepared to fight the entire popoulation of the den. Because they will be looking you up. We didn't have any problems but until I went camping-I never thought about the lil' suckers one way or the other.

We have them in my home town in certain areas. They are really not cute and they are truly annoying while they move about. We have to call animal control or the police department to get rid of them. And in some cases there are folks who think they taste great stewed in a pot. It is not unusual to hear the bang of a shotgun if they're around. No-I don't eat wild game.

Raccoon stew? There goes my dinner! LMAO! I avoid wildlife, when I can. There are raccoons in Chicago, but you don't see them too often. I also spent a lot of time in Arizona where there are snakes, scorpions, wild pigs, mountain lions, and other critters. But I keep away from their homes and HOPE they stay away from mine.
